It's springtime again, and time to plant the urns in the divider on the Ayd Mill Road Bridge!
The Summit Avenue Residential Preservation Association plants these each summer, under the wonderful direction of master gardener Marge Hols. We weed them, contract with the city to water them, and compost them each fall.
While seven urns may not seem like much, they seem to have a big impact. As well as brightening up the median, they serve as a natural traffic calming element as people slow down to look at them.
And if we don't do it, no one will!
Many hands make light work!
