Winterfest Karneval & Euro Dance Party

Mr. Fun

Saturday, January 26
Outdoor Karneval - 2-7pm
Euro Dance Party - 7pm-midnight
Free and open to the public!

In the spirit of the St. Paul Winter Carnival, the GAI is once again offering a German twist to Karneval festivities. Break out those crazy costumes, dress up in drag, and let loose! Grab a Paulaner beer, or warm up with a glass of Glühwein and a brat - there's something for everyone!

Note: This year we will be issuing tokens instead of accepting other forms of payment at food and beverage lines. You MUST exchange your money for tokens at a separate table before getting in line for food/drink. Cash and credit cards will be accepted at the tokens station. Tokens will be non-refundable.

Keep warm under the tent or gather around heaters on the GAI grounds. Festivities will include live music from Dale Dahmen and the Beats, appearances by Spielmannszug MN, the Narren of New Ulm, Mr. Fun, Hermann the German, Renaissance Pirate Lionel Wafer, and edible favorites: Glühwein, Paulaner beer, brats, rosemary potatoes, Krapfen (donuts), Knödel (German dumplings), soup, and other German delicacies.

At 4pm we will be having our first Amateur Hag Drag Conteston stage. Whether you want to get gussied up or come as the wisest old hag from one of the Grimms' fairy tales, feel free to come in costume and join in!
